PISA Results

With everything going on in the world right now, we need a little bit of good news and we have that for you right here. In 2018, our students have taken the PISA exam and we are proud to say that our students scored higher than the national and international score average.

PISA is the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)’s Program for International Student Assessment. PISA measures students ability to use their reading, mathematics and science knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges, and is done every three years.

We have taken our results from 2015 and compared them to 2018.

In English Reading:
In year 2015: Our average score was 504 points
In year 2018: Our average score was 520 points.

These results were compared to the (OECD) which scored 487 points in 2018, and 493 points in 2015.

In comparison with similar schools, Debakey has beaten the odds by 59 points, which is equivalent to more than one academic. Years of education. Even more impressive, our score compared to Qatar, which has us at a 113 points advantage.

In Mathematics:
In year 2015: Our average score was 510 points.
In year 2018: Our average score was 516 points.

These results were compared to the (OECD) which scored 489 points in 2018, and 490 points in 2015. Debakey has actually improved by 6 points allowing us to measure our student’s understanding of the subject.

In comparison with similar schools, Debakey has scored higher with 49 points, which is equivalent to more than one year of education. Even more impressive, our score compared to Qatar, which has us at a 102 points advantage.

In Science:
In year 2015: Our average score was 512 points.
In year 2018: Our average score was 513 points.

These results were compared to the (OECD) which scored 489 points in 2018, and 493 points in 2015. Debakey has maintained its excellence in science education and understanding according to these results.

In comparison with similar schools, Debakey’s average is higher with 41 points, which is equivalent to more than one year of education. Even more impressive, our score compared to Qatar, which has us at a 94 points advantage.
